Pre-grading
We identify risk, document defects, and recommend the strongest honest path. We do not guarantee acceptance or a specific grade.
3D-style surface map
Sony Alpha 7R V + Laowa 100mm 2x Ultra Macro APO + macro rail
PSA risk
A card can look better and still be marked altered, restored, cleaned or rejected by a grader. Max Revive writes the risk down before you spend grading fees.
Before
Front, back, corners, edges and known defects photographed before handling.
During
Treatment notes record surface work, humidity suitability, rest periods and stop points.
After
Final photos and a treatment tag travel with the order, listing or handover notes.

Shop 2/539 Princes Highway, Rockdale NSW
Surface care, curl checks, photos and treatment notes. No hidden alteration.
Raw singles, PSA slabs, sealed stock, mystery bags and cabinet deals.
Macro and angled-light checks before you spend money grading.
We buy, trade, consign and keep the Rockdale cabinets moving.
We identify risk, document defects, and recommend the strongest honest path. We do not guarantee acceptance or a specific grade. Macro photos, angled light and defect notes flag altered, doctored, cleaned, pressed or residue risk before a card is sent away.
Pricing
$39 per card · $75 high-value map
Turnaround: 1-2 business days. Equipment plan: Sony Alpha 7R V, Canon EOS R5 Mark II, Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO, Dino-Lite Edge AM73915MZTL, KEYENCE VHX-7000 benchmark workflow, Godox SL60IIBi, Aputure Light Dome Mini II, X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Photo 2.
Cards are photographed first, then checked for grime, fingerprints, holo haze, dents, corner pressure, edge lift, surface residue, whitening, and existing alteration risk.
Approved cards move through safe handling, surface grime removal, controlled humidity where suitable, and rest periods. If grading is the goal, the report gives the plain pathway: grade, hold raw, disclose, or leave it alone.
Cards leave with a treatment tag such as untreated, surface cleaned, humidity treated, or damaged/binder copy. If care matters to value, it is written down.
Sony Alpha 7R V + Laowa 100mm 2x Ultra Macro APO + macro rail
Focus-stacked front, back, corner and edge captures create a defect map that helps separate dust, grime, dents, whitening and printing artefacts.
Canon EOS R5 Mark II + cross-polarised Godox SL60IIBi lighting
Raking light and polarised captures expose texture changes, residue, gloss mismatch and pressure marks before anyone talks about grading.
Dino-Lite Edge AM73915MZTL with KEYENCE VHX-7000 reference workflow
Magnified captures support notes on edge lift, surface breaks, fibres, corner whitening, ink disturbance and doctored-card risk.
X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 + calibrated capture station
Colour reference, consistent exposure and timestamped photo batches keep reports readable for customers, buyers and operators.
Every card gets photos before touch.
Treatment tags stay visible on listings, invoices and portal notes.
If a card may be returned as altered, doctored, restored or cleaned, the report says so before a customer pays grading fees.
The goal is the highest honest outcome: sometimes grading, sometimes raw sale, sometimes no treatment.
Max Revive makes the altered-card question visible before a customer submits, sells or consigns. The goal is better presentation and better disclosure, not a disguised grade preparation promise.
PSA, BGS, CGC or a future buyer may penalise, reject or label a card if they consider work to be altered, restored, cleaned, pressed or outside their standards.
PSA, BGS, CGC or a future buyer may treat cleaned, restored, pressed, polished or residue-affected cards differently. Max Revive flags that risk before grading fees are spent.
The work is documented as presentation care, surface refresh, humidity suitability or no-treatment advice. We do not trim, recolour, rebuild corners, add gloss or hide damage.
The report can recommend grading, holding raw, selling with disclosure, or leaving the card alone. A strong answer is sometimes to do less.
